I myself am a devoted Buddhist and find it wonderful to be able to access useful information to study and practise whilst in remote locations, sometimes i am in the forest in Thailand and with kindle can download and read books on Meditation and Buddhism directly from these remote locations where english literature is unavailable for hundreds of kilometers.
